Summer is not definitely over! We can still enjoy swimming and enjoy summer activities. Because its summer. Keeping our skin should be part of our beauty regimen. Here are some helpful tips to get you sun smart!
When is the best time to apply sunblock? That is the common question we encounter. Most sunblocks need to be applied at least 15 minutes before sun exposure on dry skin for maximum protection. Re-application after swimming of toweling is also required as sun protection maybe removed after these activities.
You should look for the sun protection factor. Sun protection factor or SPF is the amount of time it takes for the sun to burn your skin. A range of 15 SPF, for instance, means it takes the sun 15 times longer to affect your skin. A higher SPF gives you longer sun protection. If you’re fair skinned, it’s ideal to get a sunscreen with higher SPF.
For everybody’s information, we have two kinds of ultraviolet rays; the UVA and the UVB. What’s UVA and UVB? UVA and UVB rays cause harm to your skin and can bring about sun allergies, ugly skin pigmentation, sun burn, or worse, skin cancer. Mid-day sun rays are more intense than morning or evening especially during this summer season. The more intense the sun’s rays are, the greater the damage thus, sunscreen with higher SPF should be used.
